Magic has infected Earth from planes unknown. This infection selects individuals who are naturally attuned to its effects. They are the only ones in our world able to wield magic — and susceptible to its effects.
Magic functions like a type of radiation, except it only affects what is attuned to it. Average people experience magic merely as imagination at best or mental illness at worst — affected only to the degree that they can witness it.
It's been almost a year. Families torn apart. Jobs lost. Homelessness rampant. Thousands of displaced, injured, and dead people — almost unnoticed by the rest of society. You are one of them.

StatsFive minigames — Crossing, Delivery Rush, DD Inc. (idle/passive), Rune Orders, and Delve Deep (a full dungeon-crawler) — plus a Weekly High-Score Leaderboard. The Study Hall is your downtime trainer — a Xanathar's-style system for Languages, Toolkits, and Weapon proficiencies (pick one, pay Dashercoins per in-game day, track progress under Active Training, see everything you've finished under Known). Spell and tattoo discovery now happens in the Forge's Spell Lab, not here.
The Forge's internal value is measured in Forge Points (FP) — you'll see it on every project, catalog price, and toolkit item. It's just a label (older material used to call this "gp"); nothing about how crafting works has changed.
Not in Forge: Lockboxes (DM-awarded locked containers — pick them open from the item's row in Inventory → Backpack) and cross-player Infusion buffs (offered/accepted from the Trades popup, not here) live elsewhere even though they're forge-adjacent.
The envelope icon in the top bar opens a unified inbox: direct-message threads (DM/party/NPC), company mail, and a submissions feed (loot reports, forms, DM applications, suggested Amazon items) all in one filterable list — All, DM, Party, NPCs, Company, Sent, Tasks, Starred. It also has Contacts (your DM/party/NPC contacts + QR-added friends, with Pay/Scan shortcuts), a Calendar (session schedule), and a "More" tab (Contact HR, Tavern chat, Starred, Receipts).
